Daniel CahuaI was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and moved to the United States at the age of 22. Since then, I have had the opportunity to live in Canada, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and now San Diego, California—each place shaping my perspective and appreciation for diverse communities. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Missouri and currently work in IT as a Systems Analyst for a pharmaceutical management company.
I am a proud father of four and deeply value family, service, and community. I am always eager to support and uplift those around me. In my free time, I enjoy surfing, hiking, salsa dancing, playing pickleball, playing the cajón, watching soccer, and traveling. Although San Diego is now home, my roots in Peru remain a central part of who I am. I cherish Peru’s rich cuisine, vibrant music, colorful traditions, and breathtaking landscapes. Peruvians share a deep passion for life, and nothing captures that spirit more than a national soccer match. One of my most unforgettable experiences was attending the game that qualified Peru’s national team for the World Cup after a 32-year absence—a moment filled with pride, unity, and emotion. I am committed to sharing my love for Peru with others and look forward to continuing to serve and strengthen our Peruvian community through the House of Peru. |
