About the San Diego Latino Film Festival

The San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF) was born over thirty years ago to serve as a platform that champions underrepresented voices in film by challenging the reigning and ever-present stereotypes about the Latinx experience in cinema. For the past three decades we have given filmmakers the power to tell and share Latinx stories by showcasing their amazing works. We are proud to advocate for inclusive, diverse, and progressive cinematic storytelling about the Latinx identity.

We are proud to be co-presenting ​a screening of the Peruvian film Un mundo para Julius at the San Diego Latino Film Festival.  

Our Youth Program and HOP dance group will present Peruvian dances at 5.30pm.

Synopsis: An affluent young boy from Lima, Peru loses his innocence as he learns about the injustices of the staff in his home face on a daily basis. Based on the book by Alfredo Bryce Echenique.  Directed by Rossana Diaz.
