Claudia M. Valera NewkirkClaudia was born in Lima, Perú, graduated from Carmelitas High School and worked in the travel and aviation industry for 12 years. In 1995 she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the Ricardo Palma University, Lima. She moved to California in 2001, when she was offered a job in a dental office in San Bernardino, CA. She has lived in California continuously since then, moving to the San Diego area in 2017. She has 2 children, Alejandro and Nicholas. In 2005 she took her skills in sales to the real estate industry, making her priority to help families achieve their goal of homeownership.

Claudia has a passion for aviation and is pursuing her private pilot’s license. Serving others has always been important to Claudia. She has been involved with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Feeding San Diego, the IRS VITA Program, and participates with others at her church to help and support to others. Claudia didn’t hesitate to become involved with House Of Peru in 2019 to join the other volunteers in achieving the goal of having our own Peruvian Cottage in Balboa Park and to promote our Peruvian culture as a legacy for our children and future generations.
