Julissa RocanoMissing her roots and the culture of Peru, Julissa started to participate in the activities offered by the House of Peru a couple of years ago. Later, she started to volunteer in many of the events which helped her to realize how important it is not to lose our cultural identity. The memories of Peru make her feel home once she became more involved at HOP. Julissa, born and raised in Lima, moved to the United States in 2008, . She moved between Anaheim, El Centro and finally beautiful San Diego, where she and her family have finally settled down.

She graduated from SDSU in 2013, with a bachelor's degree in international business Magna Cum Laude with Emphasis in Spanish and Latin America. Professional mom, PIF, Autism advocate, she enjoys the simple things in life.
