Diego GasparDiego was born and raised in the Callao district of Lima, Peru. As a youth, he moved to the Washington D.C metro area where he spent most of teenage and adult life. At the age of 23, he enlisted in the United States Navy, which ultimately landed him here in San Diego, California. He joined House of Peru in 2022 and have been actively participating in our events and gatherings as much as he can. He says "I am very thankful for the opportunity we have in the House of Peru to grow not only our family, but our culture in a foreign land. Living in many cities and states across the United States, and seeing other populations of Peruvians in other cities, I can say that the House of Peru has the strongest organization of our people. Knowing the importance of our culture, I am aware that we have a duty as Peruvians to maintain our culture in foreign land where we are a minority amongst minorities."

As our world continues to develop and become more technologically dependent, I will ensure we make our social media presence more active, continue to grow, and keep our future generations of Peruvians informed of our heritage. In 2023, I have had the opportunity to tour and play reggae music with E.N Young, an artist I have looked up to for many years. During our tour I managed his social media account and ensured that it was actively being engaged with the world that follows his music. My promise is to keep that same level of commitment of work with the house of Peru, whether it be with creating videos for our socials or posting for future events we hold.
My biggest hope to bring to house of Peru is unification. Seeing how our world events and culture have heavily influenced humanity, I believe what will strengthen our people is love and unity. We are one people, and an example for our future generations to come. Regardless of where you come from or what your background is in regards to Peru, we are people who have the same roots of our ancestors within us.
Diego is also involved in his community work with Streets of Hope San Diego, a non-profit that serves the homeless community in downtown San Diego, as well as an active member of STS Performance; a strength and therapy gym in San Diego
