Meet MateoMateo has been dancing with the House of Perú Youth program since 2022 and will serve as their Treasurer this year. Mateo has been dancing marinera norteña since age 9. He made it to the semi-finals in his very first Club Libertad marinera norteña competition in Woodbridge, VA! With HOP, he has continued to learn and perform many new dances, including tondero, marinera limeña, huaylas, selva, and alcatraz.
