House of Pacific Relations (HPR)

The HPR Queens Organization is an educational, cultural service, non-political, non-sectarian organization for female youth members elected by the various  Houses of different nations that make up the House of Pacific Relations (HPR).

Purpose and Objectives:
- To promote a close association with members of all the ethnic groups represented in the HPR.
- To foster a spirit of understanding, tolerance and good will between all race and nationalities, trying to understand each one's culture, customs, background tradition and history.
- To serve the San Diego community via outreach events (fundraisers, social service, etc.)
- To present to the public the music and dances of the various ethnic groups represented in the HPR.
- To be "Goodwill ambassadors" of the HPR.

Each year, member Houses of HPR elect Queens and Princesses to reign from October 1-September 30.

Other events where we participate: Queens' Hosting Day (February), Queens Lawn Program (April), Ethnic Food Fair (May), International Christmas Festival (December).

Classes are free to our Queen and princesses.

Our Queen and Princesses will be cultural ambassadors of Peru and representatives of House of Peru before HPR Queens Organization.

2017-2018 Queen & Princesses of House of Peru
with our Founder and Past President Gladys Novinger & George Novinger

Gladys & George Novinger supported the young generations of House of Peru members through donation of typical Peruvian costumes, free dance classes and sharing knowledge about the Peruvian culture.

The success of our Queens program is partially thanks to our dedicated parents who not only take the girls to dance practices and Queens Organization meetings but also volunteer at all House of Peru events. Thank you!
