25 - Hosting the Hall of Nations
We will be sharing our culture with the public and community at large from 12pm-5pm on Saturday February 25th 2017. The Hall of
Nations (Balboa Park).
2 - Queens Lawn Program at Balboa Park. The Queen and princesses of House of Peru will be showing information about
Peru, dancing marinera and sharing alfajores and Inca Kola for tasting. April 2nd 2017 at the Hall of Nations (Balboa Park).
22 - Altar Global Music presents: Tribute to Luis Miguel concert, Artist: Miguel Mari (Spain) - Sat. April 22 6pm-9pm at Balboa Recital Hall (2150 Pan American Rd West, San Diego, CA 92101. $20 (payment at the door).
27 - Altar Global Music presents: "Homenaje a Vicente Fernández" by Braulio Jiménez at the Balboa Park Club (1549 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101). Tickets $20 (please pre-pay on this site).
28 - Ethnic Food Fair (see above) - this is one of the main events organized by the House of Pacific Relations which gathers 34
nations that share their culture, dances and food with the community. Menu: lomo saltado, ceviche, clasico (mazamorra morada+
arroz con leche), alfajores, Inca Kola . Free event from 11am-5pm at Balboa Park's International Cottages area.
Friday July 28 - ¡Felices Fiestas Patrias! Happy Independende Day!
Saturday July 29 - Tulio Loza Dinner-Show:
"El Cholo de Acero Inoxidable" will visit San Diego and will delight us with his unique and incomparable comedy and jokes. You can't miss this great opportunity to laugh non-stop and celebrate Fiestas Patrias with us!

Sunday July 30 - Peruvian Independence Celebration "Fiestas Patrias del Perú" - we celebrate our national day with typical food and dances, arts & crafts for children, typical Peruvian attires fashion show and more....
Menu: lomo saltado, ceviche, tamales peruanos, "clásico" (mazamorra morada + arroz con leche), alfajores, Inca Kola.
Entertainment: Queen and Princesses of House of Peru, Maestro Segundo Lecca and his guitar (live music), Grupo Cultural "Perú Vive", and Typical Peruvian Attires Fashion Show. Arts & Crafts booth for children.

Gaby Puma Sallo & Agustina Sallo Amau : come meet Gaby Puma, indigenous leader,carrying the lineage his great grandfather medicine man, educator and public speaker. Gaby and Agustina were born in Chinchero, Cuzco-Peru and they're carrying their culture to share with the world. Gaby was initiated by the Q'ero Inka Masters medicine people. They will show the sacred ancient weaving techniques used by their ancestors to create their beautiful textiles. Don't lose this opportunity!
Sep 16, 2017 - Feb 18, 2018 : "Art of the Americas: Pre-Columbian, Mesoamerican Art from Mingei's Permanent Collection"
Location: Mingei International Museum (Balboa Park, 1439 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101)
Mingei Museum will present over 125 objects in this event, the most comprehensive presentation to date of the Museum's significant holdings of objects used by people from the ancient cultures of Mexico, Central and South America. Objects featured in the exhibition straddle cultural boundaries - from the Maya civilization in Mexico to the Moche civilization in Peru - as well as numerous ancient traditions and cultures from western Mexico.

Friday 1 & Saturday 2 - International Christmas Festival - two days event at Balboa Park, it's the nation's premier holiday festival that will take place for the 40th consecutive year. All the museums at Balboa Park participate by opening their doors free of charge from 5-9pm on both evenings and the festival expects to receive more than 500,000 visitors in those two days. Top notch musicals and dance performances are offered to the general public who can enjoy delicious diverse food choices from the 34 nations that form the House of Pacific Relations, among them House of Peru and other food vendors.
